Statement of intent
I have designed my print advertisements to adhere to ASA guidelines and stipulations. This means these advertisement will be honest and accurate to the final product to avoid misleading audiences. My advertisements will also avoid usage of unnecessary graphic or violent imagery to avoid making audiences uncomfortable. To make it clear this product is for a more mature audience the posters hold a darker and more sinister atmosphere, whilst still remaining appropriate to view so it may be advertised using billboards or on bus stops in locations likely to be seen by the target demographic. My product will primarily stream on ITVX, but will also be broadcasted on ITV channels during the watershed past 9pm due to its darker tone and more serious themes.
I plan to represent two social groups in my advertisements, those being detectives and criminals. The detectives will be portrayed in a positive light, being depicted as professional and serious, while the criminal is sinister and foreboding.
The product will be designed to appeal to audiences aged 16-30, hence why the advertisements feature people exclusively of this demographic, in order to make this audience feel represented.
