 The plot of my thriller series “Hollow” follows a detective(portrayed as Mark Howes) following the disappearance of several people around town, including his partner(portrayed as Jack Derbyshire) all linked back to the same mysterious masked man. However, while trying to uncover the case, the missing people, including his partner, begin to return, but as shells of who they once were, causing him to realise the case goes deeper than he could’ve ever imagined.

  The thriller genre has been one of  the   longest-lasting   and  most  popular  of   all genres in media ,  from  literature   to films , television, and even video games.  Thrillers are  defined by suspense, tension, and  thrills   and  keep audiences  in suspense   using   surprise   turns , high stakes, and  engaging  characters. Origins and Evolution The thriller genre has roots  going   back centuries.  18th and 19th  century classic literature ,  including   Mary Shelley ' s Frankenstein (1818) and Edgar Allan Poe ' s Gothic  tales ,  provided  the  foundations  for suspense   fiction .  But  it was in the 20th century that thrillers became a  standalone  and  pervasive genre,  especially  with the  development  of detective fiction and psychological suspense.
